Stereotypical effects on cognitive bias
Stressed-induced stereotypical behavior in lab mice have different effects on cognition. The radial arm maze is often used to investigate this.

This is an old blog. Want to know where we are going in 2026? Then, follow this link to our latest blog.
A new year means new opportunities to explore what the world of (neuro)science has to offer! And at Noldus we love attending conferences, since it is a wonderful opportunity to connect with our users and show what we are releasing soon.
We have outlined the conferences Noldus is visiting in 2025 for you. So, if you want to meet us, or are generally interested in neuroscience, come visit us at one of these places!
February 13-14, Poznan, Poland
Are you interested in zebrafish research? Then consider visiting the Medical Biology Center of Poznan University this February. This year's Polish zebrafish society meeting is sure to be an interesting meeting for zebrafish researchers of many disciplines. Topics during this conference include subjects from cancer models to toxicology and novel technologies in zebrafish research.
Noldus has various tools that can help you enhance your zebrafish research. EthoVision XT is the gold standard in video tracking and has several options specifically for zebrafish research. DanioVision is a high-throughput system for tracking zebrafish larvae behavior.
Are you at the 4th Polish Zebrafish Society meeting? Come say hello at our booth.
Polish Zebrafish Society Meeting
March 28th, Montpellier, France
The RAM (Réseau Animaleries Montpellier) is a yearly get-together for researchers, students and technicians to discuss topics like histology, imaging, phenotyping and many more in laboratory animals. Even though this is a smaller conference it is a great opportunity for us to catch up with our existing users as well as meet and learn from experts in the field.
Do you want to join or learn more about this conference? You can check out their website.
March 26-29, Göttingen, Germany
From a small one-day conference we go to one of the larger neuroscience conferences in 2025. Over four days in March the historic university of Göttingen is once again hosting the Göttingen meeting of German neuroscience. During this event there will be talks on various fields within neuroscience and you can learn about topics ranging from behavioral and clinical neuroscience to neuroimaging techniques and much more.
Göttingen has always been a great place for (young) scientists to learn and discuss their work in various symposia and poster sessions.
You can also find us at this conference in booth #13 (near lecture hall 8). Make sure to say hello!

April 27-30, Liverpool, United Kingdom
The British Neuroscience Association is once again organizing the Festival of Neuroscience. This year Liverpool will be the home of scientific debate and interactive events. This conference caters to both academic and commercial sectors across a wide variety of topics.
These 4 days are filled to the brim with symposia, plenary sessions and poster presentations, as well as plenty of social events across Liverpool.
If you want to meet us in Liverpool, you can find us at booth #20. We will be presenting some of our latest innovations like being able to track two rodents at the same time with great accuracy. This can be done with the improved AI model for EthoVision XT 18. So, if you are in the area make sure to come by.
See you in Liverpool!
May 14-16, Montpellier, France
Did you know that Montpellier is home to the oldest medical faculty in the world? The faculty of medicine was created all the way back in the 12th century. This makes Montpellier the perfect location for interesting lectures on all things neuroscience. Moreover, NeuroFrance 2025 will also include discussions around mentoring young scientists and inclusivity in neuroscience.
We are also excited to talk to the over 1000 expected visitors. So, if you are one of them, make sure to visit us at booth #22. Noldus can assist you with any research question you might have. Whether you are a seasoned veteran with automated tools or just starting out, there is always something new you can learn.
Let's meet in Montpellier.
May 21-24, Toronto, Canada
After a slew of European conferences, we are flying across the pond to the city of Toronto in Canada. The 18th Canadian Neuroscience meeting is a great way to present your work and learn about the latest and greatest in neuroscience research and techniques. The conference is set to feature researchers from all over Canada and abroad.
If you want to present your own work at this conference, you can still submit your abstract until the 17th of February.
We will also be there to catch up with our Canadian users, as well as learn about the latest innovations in behavioral neuroscience. If you are also going to Canadian Neuroscience, make sure to drop by our booth!

June 28rd - July 1st, Bordeaux, France
Are you interested in measuring brain mechanisms or behavior? Then, the EBBS meeting might be something for you. To encourage young researchers to contribute to the conference, EBBS is offering travel awards and the Young Investigator award (for PhD and post docs). You can register for this (and other awards) until the 3rd of March.
Conferences are a great way to present your own work or learn about various subjects within behavioral neuroscience. And the EBBS meeting is posed to be one of the biggest gatherings in Europe this year. We are already very excited to meet all of you, so make sure to register for the conference and come talk with us about your research questions.
November 15-19, San Diego, United States
Last but certainly not least, we are of course going to the Society for Neuroscience meeting. Each year we have the unique opportunity to talk to researchers from all over the world in one place, which this year is in San Diego! Known for its famous animal attractions, this year it will focus on animals that may seem less impressive to the public.
However, we all know that the world of behavioral neuroscience is just as (if not more) interesting. This year SFN features many events from roundtable discussion to symposia and other presentations.
Various topics will be discussed from neural aging and sensory systems to research techniques.
We are always eagerly looking forward to SFN! And for the third year in a row, we will provide a cash prize to some lucky researchers who are presenting at SFN. So, if you want to win make sure to follow our socials to get notified of the competition.
If you are not presenting but still going to SFN, come by our booth to ask all your questions related to behavioral neurosciences and your (future) Noldus setup.
