Yes. PhenoTyper is built for 24/7 recording with an IR sensitive camera. It also includes a IR-translucent shelter, so you can quantify circadian patterns without missing key behaviors.
Yes. PhenoTyper is designed to scale with your research needs. Labs commonly run several cages in parallel to increase throughput while keeping conditions standardized. At minimum, researchers run 4 cages, but 16 or more cages have also been done.
Using EthoVision you can get a rich profile of behavioral parameters. You can automatically recognize behaviors like rearing and grooming, track activity and zone use, and extend to feeding, drinking, running wheel usage, and controlled stimuli/tasks like optogenetics or operant conditioning protocols.
