How do I collect my data?

Accurate analysis

Accurate analysis for each participant

Tailor your facial expression analysis to a specific person using automatic calibration. You can correct person-specific biases towards a certain emotional expression, for example, when someone shows a lot of anger in their neutral facial state.

Custom expressions

Create custom expressions

Custom expressions are facial expressions or mental states that you can define yourself, such as workload, pain, or embarrassment. Combine variables such as facial expressions, Action Units, heart rate, and heart rate variability.

Privacy and ethics

Privacy & ethics in FaceReader

FaceReader is installed on-site and adheres to strict privacy-by-design protocols. The software is not capable of recognizing or identifying faces or people, and is therefore unsuitable for surveillance purposes.

License options

Choose the license that works for you

Use FaceReader with a hardware key or digital license. A fixed license is connected to a single computer. With a floating license, install the software on any computer and use it anywhere with an internet connection.

Setup options: SDK integration or online use

Integrate FaceReader with external applications

Need to easily integrate facial expression analysis into other applications? Using the FaceReader Software Development Kit (SDK) is the perfect solution. The SDK is available on request, based on a separate agreement. It works for Windows and Android, and can run on your PC or server.

You can also use the FaceReader API, which makes it easy to connect with the standard FaceReader for Windows software and gives you access to key FaceReader functions on your own PC.

FaceReader Online: wherever there's internet

Connect to FaceReader Online and test participants anywhere around the globe. It is the ideal tool to get feedback from a large number of participants without inviting them to your facility. Perfect for when you want to study participants in their homes or on their mobile phones.
