Install CatWalk XT And Activate Your License

Install CatWalk XT

1. Browse to https://my.noldus.com. Log in or register using the registration code on your welcome letter.
2. Click Downloads and under CatWalk XT download the latest version.
3. Double-click the file CatWalk XT - Setup - [version number].exe.

Notes

• During installation, the computer restarts automatically. Please wait until installation is complete.
• In most cases, the camera and the walkway have been installed at your site by Noldus. For details about how to connect and start up the system, see the CatWalk XT 11.0 - Reference Manual (press F1 in the software).

Activate Your License

With A USB Hardware Key

If you have a hardware key, insert it into a USB port of the computer and start CatWalk XT. If you upgrade from a previous CatWalk XT version, start CatWalk XT and enter the Upgrade key in the window that opens.

With A Software License Key

If you received a software license key, start CatWalk XT and activate your license. Choose between a Floating license or a Fixed license.

• Floating — A Floating license allows you to be flexible on which computer you use CatWalk XT to acquire data. For this license your computers must be connected to the internet.
• Fixed — A Fixed license is linked to one computer. To activate your license, your computer must have an internet connection, or you must have a smartphone with an internet connection.

If you want to use CatWalk XT to analyze existing data, not acquire new data, you can run it on that PC in Analysis mode, which does not require a license.
