EthoVision XT 19 - Pascal GPU Deprecation Note

NVIDIA Pascal Architecture No Longer Supported

Summary

Starting with EthoVision XT 19, NVIDIA Pascal architecture GPUs are no longer supported for deep learning features (body point detection via neural networks, behavior recognition). Standard tracking methods (grayscale, differencing) are not affected but are no longer tested on Pascal hardware. This aligns with NVIDIA's end of Game Ready driver support (October 2025) and CUDA 13.x dropping Pascal support.

Driver Requirements and Recommendations

  • Minimum NVIDIA driver: 591.74 or later
  • CUDA version: 13.1 or later

Warning: Users with Pascal GPUs who require deep learning features should upgrade to an NVIDIA RTX 30 series or newer. For workstation environments, NVIDIA RTX A-series or RTX PRO series cards are recommended. Always use the latest drivers from nvidia.com/drivers.
