8 Export The 2D Tracks
Export Procedure
You must export the 2D tracks from EthoVision XT before using Track3D. 1. Optional - To export part of your tracks, choose Analysis > Data
Profile, and filter the trials you want to export to Track3D. For more
information, see Filter tracks in the EthoVision XT Help. 2. Choose Analysis > Export > Raw Data. 3. Make sure that Track and dependent variables is selected. 4. Under Export Settings, click Browse and specify the folder where you want to save the export files. 5. Select one of the two File type options: - Excel if your computer has Microfoft Excel installed. - ANSI text in all the other cases. 6. Click Start Export.
Notes
The export data files are named as follows: Raw data + [name of experiment] + [trial number].xlsx EthoVision exports all the tracks contained in the Data Profile currently active. If you want to export some tracks, not others, click the Data Profile in the Experiment Explorer and filter the tracks you want to export. You can for example select all tracks corresponding to a treatment, or those acquired on a particular day. For more information, see the EthoVision XT Help.
