Control unit firmware version mismatch error

Problem

CatWalk XT reports an error indicating an incorrect or unexpected version of Control Unit firmware has been found.

Details

This error typically appears at startup or during hardware detection. It may occur after a software upgrade where the firmware on the Control Unit has not been updated to match the new software version's expectations.

Solution

1. Note the firmware version reported in the error message.
2. Contact Noldus support to obtain the correct firmware upgrade package for your CatWalk XT software version.
3. Follow the firmware upgrade procedure provided by Noldus support (typically run via the CatWalk XT software or a dedicated firmware updater tool).
4. After upgrading, restart the walkway and the PC in the correct sequence (walkway first, then PC) and relaunch CatWalk XT to confirm the error is resolved.
