Problem

A user can export analysis statistics but cannot find how to export the manual scoring event log (the preview/time-stamped event list) from EthoVision XT.

Details

EthoVision XT stores manual scoring event timestamps in a raw data log that is separate from the calculated analysis statistics. Users unfamiliar with the raw data export pathway may not find this export option. Affects EthoVision XT 17 and likely other versions. Solution

1. In EthoVision, go to the Analysis menu and select Export > Raw Data. Alternatively, in the Experiment Explorer under Analysis – Export, select Raw Data.
2. In the export list, find and select 'Manual scoring log'.
3. Choose your preferred export format: Excel (.xlsx) or text file.
4. Click 'Start export' to generate the file.
5. The exported file will contain the time-stamped event log showing all manually scored behavior events for the selected trials.
