Zephyr BioHarness Gateway Connectivity and Multi-Device Viewing Failures
Last updated: Nov 01, 2026
Problem
Users cannot view more than 6 BioHarness devices simultaneously in OmniSense, or the Zephyr Gateway fails to transfer data.
Details
Two related Zephyr Gateway issues have been reported: (1) In OmniSense 5.1.1, only up to 6 BioHarness devices are visible at one time, and (2) the Gateway appears to connect but no data is transferred. In both cases, the USB cable connected to the Gateway was identified as charge-only (lacking data transfer capability), and the viewing mode was set incorrectly.
Solution
1. Check the USB cable connected to the Zephyr Gateway. Replace it with a cable that supports data transfer (not charge-only); verify by testing data flow after substitution.
2. To view more than 6 BioHarness devices in OmniSense 5.1.1, change the viewing mode to ECHO mode within the OmniSense settings.
3. Reconnect all BioHarness devices and confirm that more than 6 units are now visible and streaming data.
4. If issues persist, restart the Gateway and OmniSense software.
