Observer XT video time offset input only retains last digit entered

Last updated: Nov 01, 2026

Problem

When attempting to enter a two-digit time offset value for a video in Observer XT, only the last digit is retained. For example, typing '7' then '9' results in '09' instead of '79'. The first digit is always overwritten by the second.

Details

Observed on Observer XT with an OC (Observer Coder) license. The issue manifests specifically in the video time offset input field. Root cause appears to be a hardware or OS-level input handling problem rather than a software bug in Observer XT itself.

Solution

1. Restart Observer XT and the computer, then retry entering the time offset to confirm the issue persists.
2. Run the Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool to verify CPU and hardware integrity.
3. If the issue persists after restart and hardware diagnostics pass, an OS reinstallation may be required to resolve the underlying input-handling fault.
