Problem
When opening a camera source in MediaRecorder (MR), no video signal or image is displayed from the connected camera.
Details
Symptoms: Camera appears connected but no picture or video feed is visible within MediaRecorder. The issue is associated with a failing or incompatible data capture card. Affected conditions: Systems using an older or faulty data capture card to interface the camera with the computer.
Solution
1. Power off the system and safely disconnect the existing data capture card.
2. Replace the old data capture card with a compatible new USB capture card.
3. Install any required drivers for the new USB capture card.
4. Reconnect the camera to the new USB capture card.
5. Launch MediaRecorder and verify that the camera feed is now displayed correctly.
