Time | 16:00 - 17:00 CET
Location | Online
During the masterclass on EthoVision, Dr. Aleksandra Badura (Erasmus MC) will guide us through her research, and why she uses EthoVision for measuring social interactions.
After this Romain Hollands will give a live demo of the newly released EthoVision 19. This new version includes new social parameters and an improved identification speed.
Here's what you will learn:
- Practical tips for handling mice and using LiveMouseTracker
- How to use social chambers in your research
- How Aleksandra quantifies social behaviors
Dr. Aleksandra Badura, Associate professor at Erasmus MC department of neuroscience
My research focuses on how cerebellar structure and function
contribute to autism, combining insights from human studies and disease-relevant mouse models. In my
lab, we use advanced animal tracking and systems neuroscience approaches to objectively capture
subtle behavioral features and link them to circuit-level and whole-brain changes. Through
collaborative networks such as PIPgen and the SCANNER consortium, my work aims to improve the
translational value of animal models and deepen our understanding of mechanisms underlying autism.
Romain Hollands, MSc, Chief Product Strategist at Noldus Information Technology
After years serving as an account manager, Romain is now using his vast knowledge on animal behavior studies to lay the framework for the next generation of neuroscientific tools.
