Noldus Academy is our online learning platform, built to help you get more out of the software you already use. Whether you're setting up EthoVision XT for the first time or want to sharpen your skills with The Observer XT, Academy walks you through it step by step, at your own pace.

What is Noldus Academy?

Noldus Academy brings together several kinds of training in one place:

• Onboarding courses for EthoVision XT, FaceReader, and The Observer XT: structured, step-by-step training to get new users up and running.
• Getting-started video series for CatWalk XT and NoldusHub.
• 35+ webinars on best practices, new features, and developments in behavioral research.
• Live, on-site training, available on request for teams that want in-person guidance.

Courses are broken into lessons with short quizzes. You don't need to finish everything in one sitting: your progress is saved, so you can pick up where you left off. Complete all the quizzes in a course and you'll earn a certificate you can share on LinkedIn. You can retake a quiz as many times as you need to.

One thing to know: Noldus Academy needs an internet connection. Offline access to courses isn't supported.

How do you get access?

You log in to Noldus Academy via MyNoldus, there's no separate account to create.

1. Go to the Noldus login page.
2. Enter the email address and password you use for MyNoldus.
3. Don't have a MyNoldus account yet? Register one, or ask your license owner to invite you, see How do I get access to MyNoldus?
4. Forgot your password? Use the Forgot my password link on the same page.

Want to see what it's like before logging in? A few sample lessons, including the EthoVision XT, FaceReader, and The Observer XT onboarding courses, are open to everyone, no account or NoldusCare needed. You'll find them on the Noldus Academy trial lessons page.

Conditions: an active NoldusCare contract

Full access to the Noldus Academy course library is a NoldusCare benefit. If you've recently purchased Noldus software, Academy access is normally included automatically for the first year.

After that, access depends on your NoldusCare contract staying active:

• NoldusCare active: you, and anyone your license owner has invited to MyNoldus, can log in and work through the full catalog of courses and webinars.
• NoldusCare expired: you'll lose access to the full catalog, though the trial lessons stay open to everyone. Renew your contract from MyNoldus (open your license and click Renew NoldusCare) to get access back.

Common questions

Do I need a separate password for Noldus Academy?
No. Academy uses the same login as MyNoldus, one account for licenses, downloads, and training.

Does everyone on our license get access, or just the license owner?
Anyone your license owner has invited to MyNoldus can log in to Academy, as long as your organization's NoldusCare contract is active. 

What happens to my progress if I lose access and then renew?
Your progress is saved. Once your NoldusCare contract is active again, you'll pick up right where you left off.

Can I try a course before committing to NoldusCare?
Yes, the trial lessons let you sample onboarding content for EthoVision XT, FaceReader, and The Observer XT, no account needed.

Can I request live, in-person training instead?
Yes, on-site training is available on request. Get in touch with us for more info.
