Sampling frequency in TrackLab is defined by the acquisition hardware (e.g. Sewio). This is the frequency at which location samples are produced. This also defines the maximum amount of samples within a given time frame. TrackLab is able to subsample the incoming data to a lower frequency. For example, the tracking hardware produces data at 10 Hz. When the location data stream comes into TrackLab it is subsampled to 1 Hz. This is useful when high-frequency data is not needed to derive analysis results. 

The default subsampling frequency starting with TrackLab 2.12 is 1 Hz. This can easily be increased or decreased when needed before a recording is started. See the image below where to change the subsampling frequency.
