Updating License Owner / Transferring License Registration to a New Contact
Last updated: Oct 29, 2026
Problem
A lab needs to change the registered owner of an EthoVision license — for example, when a primary user leaves, changes roles, or a new administrator takes over management of the software license.
Details
EthoVision licenses are registered to a named individual in the Noldus system. When that person leaves or changes roles, the lab may lose administrative access to the license or be unable to manage renewals, activations, or downloads through MyNoldus. This is an administrative change request handled by the Noldus operations team and does not affect the software installation itself.
Solution
1. Contact Noldus Support and provide the following information:
- The name and email of the current registered license owner.
- The name and email of the new owner to whom the license should be transferred.
- Your institution/lab name and license code(s) if available.
2. Noldus operations will update the license ownership in their system.
3. You will receive confirmation once the change has been made.
4. The new owner should verify they can log in to MyNoldus and access the license, downloads, and support resources.
Note: This is a support/operations request and does not require any software reinstallation or reactivation on the computers unless separately required.
