Problem

Users and IT administrators want to confirm whether Observer XT (including older versions such as v14), MediaRecorder (including older versions such as v4), FaceReader, and N-Linx are compatible with Windows 11 and specific updates such as Windows 11 24H2 before upgrading their systems.

Details

Questions arise before institutional IT rollouts of Windows 11 or specific feature updates. Older versions (e.g., Observer XT 14, MediaRecorder 4) are not officially supported on Windows 11, though issues are not anticipated in practice. The Windows 11 24H2 update (released late 2024) does not introduce known compatibility problems for current versions of Observer XT, MediaRecorder, or FaceReader. N-Linx components from Observer XT 17 are confirmed Windows 11 compatible. NoldusCare coverage affects eligibility for version upgrades.

Solution

1. The latest versions of Observer XT, MediaRecorder, and FaceReader are compatible with Windows 11, including the 24H2 feature update. No issues are anticipated from applying the 24H2 update.
2. Older versions (e.g., Observer XT 14, MediaRecorder 4) are not officially supported on Windows 11. While issues may not occur in practice, a NoldusCare upgrade to the latest versions is strongly recommended before migrating to Windows 11.
3. For N-Linx: use the N-Linx components included with Observer XT 17, which are confirmed to be Windows 11 compatible.
4. If you use Tobii Pro Lab alongside Observer XT, confirm Windows 11 compatibility directly with Tobii support, as Noldus cannot confirm compatibility on their behalf.
5. If your NoldusCare subscription has expired, contact Noldus sales to obtain a NoldusCare renewal or version upgrade quote before proceeding with the OS update.
