Problem

Users are unsure how to request, receive, or activate a license for UltraVox 4, or encounter errors when trying to activate a license (including trial licenses).

Details

UltraVox 4 uses a JSON-based licensing mechanism that differs from older Noldus products. Users may be uncertain whether a license is tied to a specific software version or installation. Applies to both full and trial licenses.

Solution

1. Open UltraVox 4 on the computer connected to the microphone hardware.
2. Navigate to the license/activation section within the software and submit a license request directly from the application.
3. Noldus will receive and verify the request.
4. Once approved, Noldus will email a JSON license file to the registered contact.
5. In UltraVox 4, go to the license/activation section and choose 'Import License'.
6. Browse to the received JSON file and select it to activate the license.
7. Note: The license is tied to the specific machine/request; if you need to activate on a different machine, submit a new request from that machine and contact Noldus Support.
