Last updated: Oct 29, 2026
Problem
UltraVox XT experiences operational issues affecting audio input or recording quality, caused by a Windows audio enhancement setting.
Details
The Windows 'Voice Clarity' audio enhancement interferes with microphone input (e.g., Pettersson microphone) used with UltraVox XT, leading to degraded or abnormal recording behavior. Affects systems running Windows with audio enhancements enabled.
Solution
1. In the Windows search bar, type 'System' and click 'Sound'.
2. Under the 'Input' section, click the '>' arrow next to the microphone used with UltraVox (e.g., Pettersson microphone).
3. Locate the 'Voice clarity' toggle or setting.
4. Turn 'Voice clarity' OFF.
5. Restart UltraVox XT and verify that audio input and recording function correctly.
