To make coding visually more attractive and transparent, the encoded behaviors are updated as you score in this new version. Also, you can synchronize behavioral observations with neural data by integrating data from Bitbrain's EEG diadem.

Press the F1 key in The Observer XT to open it, or double-click The Observer XT 17 Help icon on the desktop of the computer with The Observer XT.

New patch

In the latest version of The Observer XT17 (version 17.0.1304), there are several improvements:

• Software based licensing will now allow more than 2 videos
• Tobii control shows the correct status
• Performance improvements for opening and scoring an observation with large/complex coding schemes

This patch can be installed over a previous installed The Observer XT 17.

Dongle free security system

We offer the possibility of software based licenses as an alternative to the hardware key. This allows for a more flexible use of the license and no more lost or damaged dongles. Easily install and activate your software on multiple PCs. Please contact us for details if you are interested.

To upgrade from a previous version

• When you open a project that was made with a previous version of The Observer XT, the data will be converted to the new version and a backup of the previous version will be created in the current folder. Backup file: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Noldus\The Observer XT\Projects\Name project.vpb
• Consult the section Installation/Upgrade to The Observer XT 17 in The Observer XT Help. Also read the notes in this section for compatibility of previous versions with The Observer XT 17.

ULog

uLog 3.5 is supported with The Observer XT 12.5 or higher.
