If you have EthoVision XT 9 or newer, you will see an option to add Activity Analysis in the Experiment Settings. This is an optional feature that does not track the subject(s) per se, but rather tracks pixel changes across the entire arena. It is intended to be used when the researcher in interested in freezing or inactivity, such as fear conditioning, tail suspension, Porsolt forced swim test, sleeping, etc. This must also be configured in your Detection Settings.See here for more information.
