Note: The CatWalk computer provided by Noldus has a USB port of type C for connecting the CatWalk system.

Use the figure below to plan the room available in your laboratory (computer and table are not shown here). Without the goal box, the length of the system is 130 cm (51 3/16").
General Information
Components of the CatWalk System
- Mechanics – CatWalk stand, walkway, spring-operated corridor, camera profile, support for the illuminated ceiling, illuminated ceiling.
- Hardware – Ethernet card, digital camera, network cable, power supply. See also Parts List.
Location
The room in which the CatWalk system is set up should be darkened (± 1 Lux) to ensure the optimal signal-to-noise ratio. Alternatively, you can also operate CatWalk under red light conditions. Make sure the red light does not shine directly into the camera.
How Many People?
Two persons are needed for some crucial steps.
Tools You Need
- CatWalk assembly tools: 4 hexagonal (Allen) keys of 3, 4, 5 and 6 mm, a small Philips head screwdriver and a spirit level, which are included with the CatWalk system.
- A small rubber mallet (hammer), not included.
Important: First read the CatWalk System - Overview Pictures section for an overview of the complete CatWalk system with labels for the major parts. See also Parts List.
Be careful when handling CatWalk parts. Noldus Information Technology cannot be held responsible for any injuries acquired during installation.
