H - File name differences

Files created from recording a session and files moved via session management will have different file names. These will also vary based on what version of Viso is in use.

Viso 9+

Video Files created when a session is stopped are named SESSIONNAME-LOCATION-VIDEONUMBER-TIMESTAMP Video Files created after session management are named SESSIONNAME-TIMESTAMP-VIDEONUMBER

Viso 6 (and lower)

Video Files Created when a session is stopped are named YEARMONTHDAYHOURMINUTESECONDGUID Video Files Created after session management are named SESSIONNAME-TIMESTAMP-VIDEONUMBER

I - Annotation Module

NB: The Codes tab is only present if you purchased the Annotation module. Tips & Tricks & Limitations: Codes list: o Contains Subject & Markers OR only Markers. o Each list can contain a maximum of 36 subjects and 36 markers. o Key codes can only be used once per Codes list. o Can score via Codes window or keyboard. o To change order of subjects or markers in list, drag and drop them. o Separate sessions but recording from multiple Locations: Codes are stored with the Session that is currently open on your screen only. o Adding codes during a session, they are only added to the current session. They are NOT stored in the Codes list for future sessions. o You can add (OR change a Codes list) to a session after the recording. Click the Codes list button to assign/change a Codes list to the session. This is possible UNTIL you score the first marker. o During session playback, you can only score from same Codes list as you originally scored from. You can add subjects and/or markers at this time if needed (but they are NOT added to the Codes list, see next bullet). o Code lists cannot be edited after they are created. You can make a copy which you can edit (as no data is dependent on it) via right-clicking on the Codes list and select Copy and Edit. This will create a new codes list that can be used with future recordings. o There is no limit to the number of Codes list you can make. o Can only use 1 Codes list per recording session. o Can use Codes list created by others. o You can delete unused Codes list by clicking right on the list you want to delete in the Code lists list. In the case of recordings where these codes have been used, they may remain visible, but the list can no longer be chosen for new recordings. Event Logs (and editing): o You can only code/edit in your own sessions. o You can add Remarks to the recording in the form of free text. Remarks are not connected to a Subject. Only Markers are. o All data scored (Subjects and/or Markers, Remarks) are stored in an Event Log. o Separate sessions: Each session has its own Event Log. Can code each session and each session can be different (different Codes list). o Composite sessions: 1 Event Log for entire composite session. Can open another Location and continue with the same Event Log. When switching between Locations, a Remark is added to the Event Log to note this change. o Can filter events in Event Log via the Filter button. o To delete a scored Subject, Marker or Remark, right-click on it and select Delete. o To modify a scored Subject or Marker, right-click and select Modify subject or Modify marker.....then select the correct one. o Delete all data and score from a different Codes list: Manually delete each and every Subject/Marker scored by right-clicking on it and select Delete. Then click the Codes List button to select another Codes list and score data based on it. o Export Event Log: Right-click on the session and select Export to CSV. o Presentation Display: Markers and Remarks are not shown on second display to reduce clutter and/or confidentiality purposes. Timeline: o During session recording, subjects are show in order they were scored. o While reviewing recording, subjects are listed in order defined in the Codes list. o Subjects on rows, Markers on columns. o When Subjects are not defined, No Subject is used. o Remarks are also displayed with No Subject. o Can filter events via the Filter button. To restore Timeline, right-click on it and select Show all events.
