DanioScope – Identifying the Timing of the Last Heartbeat

Last updated: Nov 01, 2026

Problem

A user cannot determine when the last heartbeat occurred in their zebrafish recording and needs guidance on how to locate this information within DanioScope.

Details

Affects users analyzing cardiac activity data. The timing of the last detected heartbeat is not immediately obvious from the default data view. Applies to any DanioScope version that includes the heartbeat detection and visualization modules.

Solution

1. Open the relevant experiment or results file in DanioScope.
2. Navigate to the Visualization module.
3. Select the Activity Plot for heartbeats (beat activity plot).
4. Inspect the plot timeline to identify the position and timestamp of the last detected heartbeat event.
5. If needed, export the plot or underlying data table for precise timing values.
