This list contains conferences for the year 2023. We have recently uploaded a blog about the 2024 conferences, which you can find here

It’s January, and last year was a tumultuous year to say the least. But, also a year in which we finally got to meet you face to face again at conferences such as Neuroscience 2022. Now, let’s look forward to next year. We’ve put together a short list of the best (behavioral) neuroscience conferences for you to attend. Opportunities to meet up and talk science!

These 11 neuroscience conferences have been a stapler on many calendars for years. They have been some of our favorite meetings when it comes to meeting researchers and customers. We're looking forward to meeting you again in person and can't wait to see you at some of these neuroscience conferences!

MITT-ANA 2023 | February 1 – 3

Budapest, Hungary

The Hungarian Neuroscience Society (MITT) and the Austrian Neuroscience Association (ANA) invite all neuroscientists to their joint meeting this February. Scientists from all over the world will give lectures, which will be complimented by symposia and poster sessions.

This meeting is an example of long-standing collaborations between Austrian and Hungarian neuroscientists. We are looking forward to meeting you in Budapest.

Göttingen Meeting | March 22 – 24

Göttingen, Germany

The German Neuroscience Society is hosting their 15th Göttingen Meeting. 7 plenary speakers, 36 planned symposia, and plenty of face-to-face discussions in front of posters are what is waiting for you in Germany this March. Discover the latest scientific and technological developments in the world of neuroscience. 

Of course, there will also be an exhibition. We are also excited to attend this conference, so come and visit us at booth #42.

AD/PD 2023 | March 28 – April 1

Gothenburg, Sweden

The International Conference on Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases and related neurological disorders, or AD/PD conference as most of us know it, is striving for a better future for all those affected by neurodegenerative diseases.

Visit Gothenburg at the end of March for new insights on disease mechanisms, the latest in clinical trials, and advanced in diagnostic markers. Of course, it’s also an excellent place to meet up and network and learn about collaboration strategies.

FENS regional meeting | May 3 - 5

Algarve, Portugal

Founded in 1998 at the first Forum of European Neuroscience, the FENS (Federation of European Neuroscience Societies) is the main organisation for neuroscience in Europe and has more than 22,000 member scientists.

The FENS organizes Forums, regional meetings, and Brain Conferences. Coming up this May is the regional meeting in Portugal, organized by the Portuguese Society for Neuroscience.

NeuroFrance 2023 | May 24 - 26

Lyon, France

After a virtual event in 2021, Lyon is the home of a full live conference where neuroscientists from all over France will share their research, host mentoring sessions for young researchers and have interventions from clubs and research groups. We will also attend as an exhibitor, and we hope to see you at the trade exhibition. Looking forward to seeing you in France!

16th Canadian Neuroscience Meeting | May 28 - 31

Montréal, Canada

Mark your calendars for the next Canadian Neuroscience Meeting! The Canadian Association for Neuroscience (CAN) is the largest association of neuroscientists in Canada and is dedicated to advancing brain research.

Four days of plenary and parallel symposia, poster sessions, and of course an exhibition and plenty of opportunities to socialize and network. Preceded by public lectures on Saturday. Will we see you in Montréal this spring?

32nd IBNS Annual Meeting | June 25 - 30

Niagara Falls, Canada

The scenery alone is worth traveling to Niagara Falls – the Sheraton Fallsview hotel that is hosting this meeting has breathtaking views of all three waterfalls!

Founded in 1992, the IBNS has members from 34 countries and consists of scientists, clinicians, teachers, and others with a background and interest in the relationship between brain and behavior. Amongst four keynote speakers is Suzana Herculano-Houzel, Ph.D. She will be talking about her work on a new framework for the evolution of brain diversity.

We will also attend this conference to talk with you about the latest developments in the field of behaviroral neuroscience.

12th European Zebrafish Meeting | July 9 - 13

Krakow, Poland

Not only is Krakow a beautiful city to visit, it is also the home of the 12th European Zebrafish meeting. This conference is a collaboration between the Polish zebrafish society, European zebrafish society, international zebrafish society and Krakow’s own Jagiellonian University.

A wide variety of topics about zebrafish research will be discussed during this 4-day meeting. We will also attend, and hope to see you this summer in Krakow.

20th SINS National Congress | September 14 - 17

Turin, Italy

The National Congress of the Italian Society for Neuroscience (SINS) is held in Turin this September. The organizers are excited hold a live event with multidisciplinary topics. They will be focused on processes regarding nervous system function, and pathogenesis of neurological and psychiatric disorders.

16th international Congress of the Polish Neuroscience Society | September 20 - 23

Toruń, Poland

There is another conference in Poland, but this time it's moving to Toruń for the 16th international Congress of the Polish Neuroscience Society. This conference is co-organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus University and will take place in the university facilities.

Aside from opportunities to learn from established colleagues, the organizers are also focusing on reconnecting after years of online meeting. With exciting social events, they hope to facilitate a great environment for learning and connecting.

Neuroscience 2023 | November 11 - 15

Washington DC, The United States

The Neuroscience meeting (or SfN annual meeting, as it is known to some) will take place in Washington this year! It’s the premier event for scientists from around the world to congregate to share and discover new research.

Themes and topics include everything neuroscience, from development, neurodegenerative disorders, motor and sensory systems, integrative physiology and behavior, to cognition, history, ethics, and education.

We were just at the last Neuroscience meeting in San Diego a couple of weeks ago, and we have already started preparations for this meeting. We cannot wait to meet you there!
